Yes, every child at TGSO receives a Christian education. In fact, life at The Good Shepherd Orphanage is centered around Jesus. The children attend devotions three times a day. Every evening they memorize scripture and study the Bible together. Our TGSO staff is doing a great job caring for the children and teaching them how to love God and serve others.

We ask that sponsors try to commit to the program for at least one year; however, we understand that anyone can have unexpected financial trouble or other life challenges and may need to cancel at any time.

You can write to your sponsored child using the “Letter Writing” postcard that is provided in the Child Sponsorship Packet or via our website here.

The children love your letters, and receiving communication from you lets them know that someone else cares about their future and well-being. However, please keep in mind that sponsorship is not a pen pal program. You will be mailed updates periodically, including artwork, letters, and photo updates as your child develops into who God called him or her to be.

If for any reason your child is no longer at TGSO, your gifts will continue to be combined with the funds from other sponsors to help care for other orphans at TGSO. We will send information introducing you to your newly assigned child. There are always children waiting and hoping for a caring sponsor.
